In fact i would like you to think of any horror movie that doesn't have some attempt at humour. There was humour in Diablo 2 if you don't remember. I am sure that there will be very little if any light-hearted humour in Diablo. There is also Dark humour but you pointed out light-hearted humour. There is humour but it is mostly from the gnomes, goblins, and sometimes drawves. There is nothing light-hearted about the story in Warcraft. I earlier said on here that, I'm sure it will get darker due to how the story is set up. (related topic ) They have no idea how the game will progress, if it will get darker.

I was never really scared as i played D1 or D2, once you get into "kill" mod and have killed like 200 monsters the fear factor is kind of gone, all that remains is blood lust. If you really feal they are to bright then bring the gamma and brightness down. Dark blue( Dark blue evokes feels of sadness) and dark green ( Dark Green evokes things like Restless, Emotional Stress, Sensitive To Your Environment, Serious Moods, Uneasy, Tensed) are not colors that make you feel comfortable.
In D2 the necro had some over the top shoulder pads.
